Vacancies: Two x External Examiners

Sheffield Hallam University

Sheffield Hallam University

Sheffield Institute of Education, Sheffield Hallam University is seeking to appoint two External Examiners for the above courses to start from September 2021 for a term of four years. This is an exciting time for these well-established and successful professionally focused courses. The Foundation Degrees have recently been revalidated and will from September 2021 be delivered as distance learning courses. It is anticipated that the top up degrees will be revalidated during 2021 to ensure that there is a smooth progression opportunity for all FdA students. The External Examiners role includes examining academic units for the courses, attending examination boards, and completion of an annual report. In addition, you will be invited to engage with students online once a year for discussion about their student experience. We welcome constructive feedback on our courses and use this to inform our Course Improvement Plans.

We would like to appoint External Examiners with experience and expertise of supporting professionally focused courses and ideally familiarity and interest in online delivery.
