ICMEC Seminar: Marketised Early Childhood Systems Recent Developments in New Zealand and Australia
An ICMEC international hybrid seminar
ICMEC is delighted to welcome back Professor Linda Mitchell, Waikato University, New Zealand and Professor Fran Press, Manchester Metropolitan University, UK who will present at ICMEC’s first – hybrid – seminar since the Pandemic.
- Professor Mitchell will speak on the subject ‘Turning the tide on privatised early childhood education in New Zealand’
- Professor Press will speak on the subject ‘A mixed economy and the quality of ECEC. Lessons learned from the Australian experience’
Professor Helen Penn, Professor Emerita at UEL, co-founder of ICMEC and Honorary Professor at UCL’s Institute of Education, will provide a response to the two presentations and introduce the discussion
