Critical Connections – Speaking out for the emotional needs of children too young to speak for themselves
What About The Children? National Conference March 2022
Speakers: Paul Ramchandani & Mary-Anne Hold
Paul Ramchandani ‘The Critical Connections between children and their carers’
Early caring relationships are critical for children to develop, learn and thrive. In this talk Paul Ramchandani will aim to focus on the key aspects of early parent-child relationships that are most important for children, including play, and what we are learning about the best ways to support parents in these important early years of their children’s lives.
Mary-Anne Hodd ‘When we connect: through the child’s eyes’
What really matters? This talk explores that connection is the answer, the key to prosperity, overcoming trauma and contributing to good outcomes. Connection is the basis of our relationships, which are at the heart of all we do, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy. Relationships come with an array of barriers that impact the quality of connection. This talk explores some of those barriers with a focus aimed at overcoming them, Mary-Anne will throw the audience into the child’s perspective of connection in a world surrounded with trauma, taking you on a personal journey of what can ‘make the difference’.
