The aim of this webinar, hosted by the Childhood Research Forum at Liverpool Hope University, is to share initial findings of a survey exploring UK student parent’s experiences of the pandemic lockdowns. Their perspectives, coping mechanisms and identity re-positioning will all be discussed within the framework of existing understandings of the student parent sector.

Presentations from:

  • Dr Zoi Nikiforidou: Student-parents or parent-students—A Third Space approach
  • Dr Sarah Holmes: Coping Mechanisms adopted by students with parental responsibilities during UK lockdown
  • Dr Babs Anderson: Exploring the intersectionality of multiple identities—student and/or parent during lockdown
  • Dr Harriet Pattison: Lessons from lockdown—could pandemic schooling help change education?

We cordially invite you to join us for this event, as we consider together how these narratives may inform ongoing policy and practice.
